CITY COUNCIL MEMBER
In accord with O.C.G.A. §
21-2-540, notice is hereby
provided that a special
election shall be held in the
City of Lula to fill a vacancy
on the Council for the City
of Lula resulting from the
resignation of t h e
Councilmember for Post
One. The special election
shall be held on March 19,
2019. If necessary, a special
election run-off shall be
held on April 16, 2019 in
accord with O.C.G.A. § 21-
2-501.
The period during which
candidates may qualify to
run in the special election
at Lula City Hall, 6055 Main
Street, Lula, Georgia 30554
shall be during the regular
business hours of such
office beginning at 8:30
a.m. on January 7, 2019
and continuing until 4:30
p.m. on January 9, 2019.
The qualifying fee for the
office of Councilmember
Post One is $35.
All persons who are not
registered to vote and who
desire to register to vote in
this special election may
register to vote through
the close of business on
February 19, 2019.
Polls shall be open from
7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on
Election Day.

In accord with the
resolution adopted by the
Council of the City of Lula
on September 17, 2018
pursuant to O.C.G.A. §21-
2-504, the City of Lula,
Georgia shall conduct
a Special Election on
Tuesday, March 19, 2019,
from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.,
for the purpose of electing
the following:
One person for the office
of Councilmember Post
One for the City of Lula to
be elected by plurality for a
term ending December 31,
2019 and when a successor
is elected and qualified.
The deadline to register
to vote for the March 19,
2019 Special Election
is February 19, 2019.
Absentee ballots and Early
Voting will be February 25,
2019 through March 15,
2019, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
at Lula City Hall, 6055 Main
Street, Lula, Georgia 30554,
excluding Saturdays,
Sundays, and legal holidays
of this state.
The polling location for
the City of Lula is located
