Braswell, 94, of Gainesville passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. A native of Metter, Ga., Mrs. Braswell had lived in Hall County since 1986. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Lois Lane Lanier. Mrs. Bras well was retired from Belk, where she worked as a customer service repre sentative, and was a mem ber of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include her son and daughter- in-law, Wayne and Kathie Braswell, Daw- sonville; sister, Jacqueline Tillery, Metter; grandchildren, Laura Young, Gainesville, and Perrie and Zack Tatum, Chestnut Mountain; great-grandchildren, Merrie Young, Grade Young and Hazel Tatum; nephew, Danny Tillery, Metter. Mrs. Braswell is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wilbur R. “Doc” Braswell. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at the Lake Cem etery in Metter, Ga. Nov. 27, 2018 Jewell Dean Cheek Camp April 28, 1926-Nov. 25, 2018 Jewell Dean Cheek Camp, 92, of Buford, Ga., passed away Nov. 25, 2018. She was preceded in death by her hus band of 21 years, Claude Camp Jr., aka Billy Camp; parents, W.C. and Myra Cheek; brother, Harold Cheek; sister, Evelyn Cheek. She is survived by her children, Ronnie Camp, Buford, Ga., Susan and Greg Fraser, Gainesville, Ga., Margaret Camp, Sugar Hill, Ga., Michael and Judi Camp, Greensboro, Ga.; granddaughters, Court ney and Nick Lancaster, Kimberly and Dathan Harbert, Katie Camp; grandsons, Joshua Camp, Jacob Camp, Zachary Camp and Billy Fraser; great-grandchildren, Cay- lee Small, Caleb and Camryn Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Camp was born April 28, 1926, in Buford, Ga. She was a graduate of Buford City School system, class of 1944. She also went on to substitute teach in Buford City School. Her career included Sears & Roe buck Co., Loveable Co. and Camp Meat Market. “She was a loving mother, grand mother and caregiver.” A funeral service will be held on Wednes day, Nov. 28,2018, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with the Rev. Nov. 27, 2018 Charles Thomas Dennard Sr. Sept. 27, 1940-Nov. 24, 2018 Mr. Charles Thomas Dennard Sr., 78, of Gainesville passed away on Nov. 24, 2018. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Gainesville, Ga. The family will receive friends after the service in the parlor. Mr. Dennard was born on Sept. 27,1940, in Gordon, Ga., to the late William Chan dler Dennard and the late Annie Richie Stapleton Dennard. Charles loved having company and hav ing plenty of food for all. He enjoyed fishing, hunt ing and golfing. He was a dedicated member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Gainesville. He was a 1963 graduate from Georgia Tech. Charles owned and operated Northstar Construction Co. and Denaux Corp. Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris Dennard of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Dug gan Garner of Taylorsville, Ga.; daughter, Dianne Dennard Saint of Gainesville, Ga.; son, Charles Dennard Jr. of New Orleans, La.; grandson, Matthew Lane Saint of Hous ton, Texas; grandson, Cody Ryan Saint of Tulsa, Okla.; grandson and his wife, Cyler Duggan Garner III and Marika of Carters- ville, Ga.; grandson and his wife, Charles Wesley Garner and Lindsey of Cartersville, Ga.; granddaughter, Christina Tamara Garner of Taylorsville, Ga.; great-grand children, Vivian Ray and Cylee Fay Gar ner, both of Cartersville, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Cindy Dennard of Milledgeville, Ga.; niece, Caryl Gearig, and nephew, Chandler (Kem). Nov. 27, 2018 Robert H. “Bob” Watson Nov. 20, 1926-Nov. 25, 2018 Mr. Robert H. “Bob” Watson, 92, of Oak- wood passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, Nov. 25,2018, at The Waterford at Oakwood. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednes day, Nov. 28, 2018, in the chapel of Memo rial Park South Funeral Home, with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The Rev. Earl Pirkle will officiate. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, and noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. Bob was born on Nov. 20, 1926, in Jack- son County, Ga. He was the oldest son of the late John H. and Maude Key Watson. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Carole Watson Allan; brother, Floyd Wat son; and sisters, Gussie Watson and Ellaree Watson Dearman. Most of his life was spent in Hall County, Ga., where he graduated as salutatorian from Lyman Hall High School. Follow ing graduation, Bob served in the United States Navy during WWII. Afterwards he had a 47-year career in the office machine and furniture business with Georgia Office Equipment Co. Bob was an active mem ber of Central Baptist Church for 65 years and enjoyed playing softball in the church league. Bob will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit and for his love of the outdoors, fishing, softball and homemade ice cream. He set an excellent example of what it meant to be a good man, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He loved his family and enjoyed teaching the grandchildren to play pool, pingpong and softball. Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Doris Coker Watson of Oakwood; daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Randy Smith; son-in-law, Mark Allan; grandchildren, Jennifer and Scott Gibbs, Bobby Ward and Matt Dolloff, Jeff and Diana Ward, Scott and Sarah Allan and Katie and Dylan Sample; brothers, Paul Watson and Dean Watson; sister, Mildred Nicholson; sister-in- law, Sarah Ragsdale; great-grandchildren, Zack, David, Freddie, Tyler, Erick, Dylan, Anna-Kate and Jayden; and several special nephews, nieces and other relatives and longtime friends. The family would like to thank all the staff and caregivers of The Waterford, Pruitt Health and Homestead Hospice for the special attention and care given to Bob during the last few months.
