Dakota Orr added 19 points and 13 boards for Banks County, while Wes Ledford had 11 points and eight rebounds. On Friday, Cleveland scored 38 points in a 69-42 win against Putnam County. On Tuesday, Banks County visits Monticello. COLLEGE BASKETBALL North Georgia to play on ESPN3 The national spotlight will shine on the University of North Georgia on Jan. 9. The Nighthawks women’s and men’s Peach Belt Con ference basketball games against Columbus State will be nationally televised on ESPN3. The Wednesday night dou bleheader — dubbed Opera tion Nighthawks of Honor Night — will feature a cere mony honoring 12 University of North Georgia alumni who were killed during, or associ ated with, the Korean War. The women’s game will tip off at 5:30 p.m., and the men’s game is set for a 7:30 p.m. start.
