CELEBRITY REPORT
McCartney tells fans: Don’t
be like me and eat too much
Christmas message to his fans around the
world: Don’t be like me and eat and drink too
much.
The 76-year-old former Beatle tweeted his
lighthearted holiday wishes Tuesday illus
trated with photos from his younger days.
He says “don’t eat and drink too much!
I know I will, but that’s no excuse for you”
before wishing everyone a good holiday.
He says “I hope you enjoy all your pres
ents and I hope you remember the true
meaning of Christmas, which is love and
peace and being good to each other.”
Roseanne Barr to address
Israeli parliament in January
Former television star Roseanne Barr
says she will be traveling to Israel in January
and has been invited to address the country’s
parliament.
Barr announced her visit to Israel on Mon
day, saying her aim is to “further my own
knowledge of Jewish and Israeli history”
and speak out “against the insidious and
anti-Semitic BDS movement.” BDS refers to
a Palestinian-led movement calling for boy
cott, divestment and sanctions of Israel.
ABC canceled its reboot of “Roseanne”
in May after Barr tweeted racist remarks
about former Obama administration adviser
Valerie Jarrett.
Kevin Spacey is charged
with groping a young man
Kevin Spacey has been charged with grop
ing the 18-year-old son of a Boston TV anchor
in 2016 — the first criminal case brought
against the Oscar-winning actor since his
career collapsed amid a string of sexual mis
conduct allegations over a year ago.
Spacey, 59, is due in court Jan. 7 on the
resort island of Nantucket to be arraigned
on a charge of indecent assault and battery,
Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael
O’Keefe said in a statement Monday.
Spacey could get up to five years in prison
if convicted.
A criminal complaint was issued by a
clerk magistrate at a hearing Thursday,
O’Keefe said.
Taylor Swift concert intruder
arrested for San Diego killing
A man who jumped onstage at a 2015
Taylor Swift concert in California has been
arrested on suspicion of beating a man to
death in San Diego.
Police say 29-year-old Christian Ewing was
arrested for a parole violation a few days ago
and re-arrested Monday on suspicion of mur
der. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
Authorities say Ewing attacked 57-year-
old Gregory Freeman on Dec. 5 in the
Midway area and beat him with an object.
Freeman died three days later.
Three years ago, Ewing sneaked into
Swift’s concert at San Diego’s Petco Park and
jumped onstage while she was performing.
He was tackled by security guards, one of
whom suffered a broken rib. Ewing pleaded
guilty to assault and got two years’ probation.

HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY
ARIES (March 21 -April 19).
Nothing gets in the way today
unless you let it. With this phi
losophy, you won’t cast your
self in the role of the victim.
Why would you? You’re able
and you can always make a
different choice.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
You’ll get to building a beauti
ful and different kind of world,
maybe only with one other
person, but it still counts. It
only takes one other person to
create a society with you.
GEMINI (May 21-June21). You
long ago came to terms with
the unfair nature of life. You’ll
be reminded how some have
been endowed with traits or
circumstances that give them
an advantage from birth, and
you’ll do something to help the
balance today.
CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Extending compassion to
yourself can be a difficult thing
to do. It’s tempting to try to
find out why this is so. But
then again, maybe the reason
doesn’t matter. Override it.
Help yourself out. Forgive and
love yourself.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The art
of the seating chart isn’t just
for big parties and events. If
there’s a way to arrange your
life so as to place and group
people elegantly, then you cer
tainly will find it.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). If you
don’t get what you want right
away, consider yourself lucky.
This is where the real gold
comes — in having to reach
down deep into your own re
sources and build something
out of them to make your situa
tion work.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-0ct. 23). There
was a time you thought it best
to strictly follow the rules; you
were young and this kept you
safe. But if you continued in
this way, you’d miss out on a
great deal of life. Afford your
self some slack.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You
came into your convictions
overtime, slowly forming and
testing a belief system that
made sense to you at many
levels. In many ways you’re still
assembling it, but what you’ve
got already is certainly worthy
of your defense.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec.
21). It’s possible that trying to
be better counts as actually
being better, but it’s also pos
sible that accepting yourself
more fully is a faster route to
your transformation.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
The more people involved in
your vision, the harder it will
be to keep it cohesive, but
that’s OK for now. Pick one or
two guiding principles and see
what happens.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
There’s not a correct way to
look at things, but optimism
does net different results than
pessimism. You do not feel that
your interests are at stake, and
this allows you to feel effort
lessly generous with others.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
There’s comfort in playing the
old games you used to play,
and yet there are new games,
too. So while you may visit
the glory days of the past, you
won’t stay there.
