Funeral services are scheduled for Friday February 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Stacey Phillips will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 20, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. George was born on December 5, 1923 in Banks County. Mr. Mize served in the Korean Event and WWII. He was retired from Chicopee Manufacturing and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Mize is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother. As a philanthropist, Mischelle’s passions were helping those in need; especially women who possessed a feeling of destitute. She would restore their self-significance and ambition. Alongside helping people, she was an advocate for animals, especially dogs and her recent found love of birds. There is not one person who cannot attest to her nurturing and generous nature. “Mischelle was a firecracker full of personality, her laugh contagious, her generosity unmeasurable and her love for others true and strong” said her family. She was employed with Gwinnett County Public School System where she taught at Lovin Elementary School in Lawrenceville. She was a member of a sorority. Mrs. Bogus attended Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford. She loved going to the beach and loved the ocean. She adored her grandchildren.
