J. O. Y. CLASS MEETS
Mrs. Alston Jones was hostess
for the J. O. Y. Class monhtly
meeting held at tier home recent
ly. Fourteen members were pres
ent.
Mrs. Grady Perry gave the de
votional, and Mrs. Harold Warren
gave the class report for the
year 1949.
After the business meeting a
social hour was enjoyed when the
Valentine motif was carried out
in detail. Mrs. N. D. Burton and
Mrs. N. J. Warren won the con
test prizes.
The guests were invited into
the dining room where a lovely
birthday cake with burning ta
pers was placed on the table, and
happy birthday was sung to sev
eral members having birthdays
in February. Heart-shaped ice
cream and cake was served by
Miss Martha Jones.

FELLOWSHIP CLASS MEETS
On Tuesday evening Mrs. L. E.
Brewer, Mrs. Bill Pharr, Mrs. H.
M. Morris and Mrs. V. V. Chap
man were hostess to the Fellow
ship Class. The meeting was held
in the churoh basement, where a
buffet supper was served from
beautifully deiorated tables: The
Valentine motif was carried out
in the decorations.
The devotional was led by
Mrs. Dave Padgett, The business
meeting followed at which tmie
it was decided to draw names for
an attendance and new member
contest. Mrs. E. G. Morris and
Miss Velma Leathers were ap
pointed as leaders.
Interesting games and contests
were enjoyed. Prizes were award
ed to Miss Elsie Wood and Miss
Margaret Warwick. Twenty-four
members were present.

spent the week-end with their
parents, Mrs. Irene Vansant and
Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Huckaby.
