MALARIA
Literally means bad air. Poi
sonous germs arising from low,
marshy land, or from decaying
vegetable matter, are breathed
into the lungs, taken up by the
blood, and unless the vital fluid
is purified by the use Sarsaparilla, of a good
medicine like Hood’s
the unfortunate victim is soon
overpowered. Even in the more
advanced cases, where the terri¬

medicine has effected remarkable
cures. Those who are exposed should

Our ingenious and famous pat¬

up a remarkable Cotton Chopper,
since it is simple and cheaply ar¬
ranged.
It works with a cam movement;
and it seems plain from the model
that it will do the Avork which
he claims for it. He claims that
it will ploAv out the middles, leave
the cotton in hills at any distance
desired, thereby enabling one
horse and hand to do the same
work as 5 to 7 hands' and as many
horses could do per day, and do
it better and much more regularly.
Mr. Jeter Avants help to have them

the model ourselves, but think it
would be worth Avhile for some
