Mrs. H. P. Almand, who has

though still quite sick, is better
to-day. We hope she may soon
be entirely recovered.

Mr. James Pierce of DeKalb
county, father of A. J. Pierce of
Conyers died at his home last
Friday evening at 6 o’clock. He
wars eighty one years old, and

citizens of the county.

opening. We wish it abundant

Wo are pained to announce
that the aged and venerable Mr.
Littleton Petty was stricken with
partial paralysis, on Saturday,
and has since been unable to
speak in an audible voice; tjiqugh
lie is not suffering very much
pain. He has the sincere sym¬
pathy of the entire community in
liis affliction, and the earnest hope
is entertained by everyone that
he may soon bo relieved. Mr.
Petty will be 90 years of age at
his next birth day, and is one of
the most devout Christians that
ever lived in this community.—
