Bill thinks the peo¬ ple down there thought he was a revenue officer. Perhaps this accounts for his early return. Rev. H. F. Buchanan has been in veiy feeble health for some days past, but we are glad to learn he is somewhat improved. May he soon be able to come out again Chief Smith guarded a case of the grippe last week, but we are glad to see him on duty again. Mr Charlie McDonald filled Chief’s place while he was sick. Mr. James Dukes went to Mad ison last week to have Prof. Leo, the great magic heaiar, examine him. The examination was made and Prof. Leo informs Jim that he will cure him in five months time. Last Monday Mr. A. P. Cain went on the road for the Drum¬ mond Tobacco Co. He will trav¬ el middle Georgia and will, no doubt, do a good business for his company. We wish him sue cess. Our genial old friend, Robt. J. Guinn, of Atlanta, spent Monday and Tuesday with his father and mother, Prof, and Mrs. R. A. Guinn. He also honored us with a pleasant visit to our office. We always enjoy a visit from our old friends. Dr. Quillian and wife spent last Saturday at the hospitable home of Mr. David Vaughn, sr., and in the afternoon one of Dr. Quillian's little boys, vrhile playing around the door, fell and severely sprain¬ ed his left arm and tracking the bone. It was at first thought to be brokon, but upon examination it was found that the bone was only cracked. The little fellow is getting along nicely. Onr young friend Jeff Carter has secured a position with the Union News Company, of Rich mond, Va., and left Monday morn ing to go to work. His run will be from Atlanta to Charlotte, N. C.
