For the Latest War News. Then read about the Low Values we
are offering you just now in all lines, and buy before this war forces
prices too high. Our claims are reasonable and subtantial. We’ve
done business among you for a long time. It has grown every year
is still growing. False promises wouldn’t received such a reward;
<m> tricky methods wouldn’t meet the approbation and encouragement of
the best and most conservative class of our population. Our stock in

To i lie People.
As is well kno wn I am a
didale for county Treasurer
and earnestly desire the
of the people, but being afflcted
as I am, it is impossible for
to see every one and make my
requests of them. I can’t go
into the fields where most farm
ers are to be found at this sea
sou, and I can’t ask them to
come to me, but through this
medium I can state to all that
I desire and will truly appreci¬
ate their support at the ballot
box on June 23rd.
Hoping that this will explain
to all my position and that I
may receive their support, I am
sincerely,

Conyers, Ga., April, 80th 1898.
Is has pleased our Heavenly
Father to take from us our Bro.
Wm. H. Simpkins who was born
April the 24th 1847 and joined the
Baptist church-on 1859 and ordain¬
ed a deacon at Harmony Grove
1883 and departed this life on
April 23rd, 1898 at his home in
Conyers Ga., after a few hours of
sickness, while we lose his help
and council in prosecuting the
work of the master and miss him
in our meetings. We rejoice in
the fact that our brother is now
enjoying for him the in reward that was laid
up that land where no
sorrow mars the happiness of those
who have passed into the realms
of eternal rest.
