RESOLUTION.
Whereas, Oar Heavenly Father, in
his all-wise providence, has removed
from i nr midst Bro. I). M. Almand,
who was born Feb. 14th, 1846, aad
died Oct. 25tb, 1807, and was a deacon
of the church for a number of years,
and,
Whereas, Ia his death the commu¬
nity has lost one of its most useful and
influential citizens, and our church a
member whose daily life exemplified
the religion which he possessed, and,
as J'-nathun said to David, “thou wilt
be misted, for thy seat will befmpty. ”
But while our beioved brother is
dead he yet speaketh in all the walks
of life. Bro. Finland loved his chureti
andpistcr and was loved by all the
britijren. He was a man of great
composure and sefl-contro), bpt when
he would ipsak of his blennkl Savior,
his tones would always soften and the
dtwy tear would appear.
Resolved, That it is with hearts
burdened with sadness that we cboni
ele tho death of our Lelov.-d brother.
We miss the inspnation of his pre
euce and hearty co-operation in our
Master’s works, but we rejoice that
our lossie his immortal gain to joys
in that home beyond the skies in the
presence of Christ forever,
We bow in humble submission to
God’s will believing that he doeth all
things well.
