A curious find was recently
made by Mr. J. B. Plank, a
black-smith in Augusta. A
liorso was brought there to have
a shoo put on. When the
smith lifted up the horses’ foot
a half dollar was found wedged
in the frog of tho foot. The
money had evidently been there

laws have considerably increas¬
ed within the past few months
in this state.
A new farm is to be purchased
near Athens for the Georgia
college of Agriculture and me¬
chanical arts.
Dahlouega Nugget: While
out prospecting one day last
week a miner, several miles
from town, found a piece of
float ore very rich in gold. The
rock was fairly hung together
with the golden metal. It was
estimated to be worth -1100.
The rock was sent to the assay
office at Charlotte.
