The petition of Andrew J. Pierce and
Mrs Jane N. Pierce, of said county,
respectfully showeth that they and their
successors desire to he incorporated un¬
der Leather the name and style of the Conyers
Manufacturing Company, with with
a capital of two thousand dollars,
the privilege of increasing the same divided to
twenty thousand dollars, to be
into shares of one hundred dollars each
with no individual liability except as to
unpaid subscriptions
The chief place of business to he in
said county of Rockdale, with the right
to establish branch offices and agencies
at other points if needed.

main objects of said incorporation are
pecuniary gains and profits to its share¬
holders, and the special objects and
aims are to procure a site and necessary
material and erecq operate and main¬
tain a Tannery in said county, and to
that special end and purpose, purchase,
otherwise procure, hides and other ina
tenals, used by tanners; (or the pur
pose o! barter and sale, or tanning into
leailier of any and all kinds, and to
manufacture the products of said tan¬
nery into any or all articles that can be
manufactured out of Rather or hides;
or any other articles or things that can
be manufactured out of, or with them,
in conjunction sell, with otherwise other materials; dispose
ai d to barter, or
of the same, and to do any and all acts
and things needful in establishing With and
conducting said business; full
pow ers and privileges to purchase, own
and sell any property, real or personal,
for the purpose of carrying on the fast¬
ness of -aid incorporation. To sue and
be sued, baye and us all a common sea),
and have and exercise powers and
privileges usually conferred upon cor¬
porations of similar character. To elect
and appoint and emply such officers,
agents, attorneys and other employes

such by-laws, rules anil regulations as
