If Crisp isn’t the next Uni ted Stat Senator, to succeed Gordon, politically speaking, Georgia should be marked off the map. The state Democratic Execu¬ tive committee met in Atlanta last Saturday and declared that Georgia needed only one state convention this year. This is a great stroke in behalf of the people. The Vkekxy has some of the most liberal advertisers the country affords, and they are all prosperous geutlement. A man that appreciates the value of printers ink usually sets the pace and shapes the business of a town. Blossom. We are very sorry to state the fact, that Mrs. Benn Tuck¬ er, who has for several weeks been quite sick, is no better. We hope she will soon regain her usual strength. School at this place is holding on remarkably well, 54 pupils have been enrolled, and most all have been in regular atten¬ dance . Fvery thing has been so quiet here for the past week, that we have nothing in the way of a sensation to attract the readers of your paper. The farmers in this section are moving things along nicely, and from the guano that is be ing brought to this place, I fear they will make the same mis¬ take they did two years ago. Unless we are visited by some disaster, the cry will be in the fall, “Too much cotton made.” What has become of the organ¬ ization to reduce the cotton acreage? Mr. Broughton the Pres, of the state organization has failed by some means to im¬ press the farmers on this scheme, We hope he may yet succeed for the destiny of the Georgia farmers, unquestionably, hinges on this. We have a young man “Mack” iu this community who uusteriously disappears every Sunday evening and no one can tell where he goes until some¬ time the next week. Wo see notice in the Oak Grove of bis visiting there, would the cc iu impendent up their keep a close watch ou him. ■Smite” List of Jurors Drawn for April term, of Rockdale Superior Court, 38D6, by his Honor Richard II.
