actor sketch, by ITon. . R. R
Cobh of Atlanta,which appear

aptL (escribed a trip Mr Cobb
made with a certain shrewd
politician and Congressman, re¬
ferred to by Mr. Cobb, in t o
sketch, as “Uncle Don.” This
sketch occasioned much amuse
merit and was a great hit, and
the people will not be surprised
to know that it has been pub¬
lished in pamphlet form and
can be had for *25cts per copy.
All indications point to an
early start in the race iii this
district for Congress and the
battle between the candidates —
there is likely to be several—
prnniL >s to be a royal one. Ii is
well known that Livingston will
stubbornly contest every inch o(
ground and he is a great polit
teal general, with self-confi
deuce and an ambition second
to no politician on tiio Ameri¬
can continent. He is very ac¬
tive when properly stirred up
and may be counted on to fur¬
nish his part cf the fun.
Hon. B. M. Blackburn, wh le
hardly so large as tlio Colonel
in uvordupoise, is a great cam¬
paigner and will have strong
backing in his light against
Livingston. Ho will combat
the Colonel fiercely and to the
last ditch. The entrance of
Blackburn must cause the old
stager considerable wony;
In the last campaign lit 11 .
Chas.t. Branan is satisfied tl at
ho didn't have a fair
although ho ran well. Ho
claims to have made Livings¬
ton very uneasy, and with a
fair start t o is confident that he
can lav it on to the Colonel
*• dead easy.
There are others that will l;e
in the race, perhaps, and the
time is not far distant when the
fuu will begin.
