Dicker, of Osyxi, Miss., in a recent letter to Dr. Hartman, says; "I am sure that Pe-ru-na is one of the best rued icinos on the market, I have taken it every winter for the last four years. T first tried it. after a long, hard spell of la giippe, for cough and catarrh, caused by la grippe. I am sure that I would have been in ray grave now hi d I not used it, I have told many others the good it did me. Everybody said that, I had consumption, and I knew that I would have it unle s I got relief. Every fall for the last four years I take it as a preventive from cold . I believe that if people knew what a preventive Pe ru na is they would have less trouble from that dreaded disease, lag-ippe. It never fails. It is plain to us all that a great Evil is prevalent in our town and community that is degrading some of our men, corrupting our society, and demoralizing many homes. As watchmen, we feel it our duty to sound a note of alarm. We desire to make a crusade against this evil and do some¬ thing for the betterment of our town and county. In order that we may better understand the situation, and that we may create a lighteous sentiment regarding on this matter we suggest that we have a mass meeting. Every one, both male and.female are cordially invited and urged to he present at the court bourn Tuesday evening Feb. 14, at 7 o’clock. We feel that great good is to he the outcome of this meeting.
