State Agricultural Commissioner, and accepted the appointment, but failing health disabled him and he was forced to give it up. He was one of the most promi nentMasons in the State. He was the oldest member of the lodge at this place and was devoted to the order. He always attended the meetings of the Grand Lodge, which gave him great pleasure. He was for many years a stew nrd of the Methodist church here and took great interest in all church matters.
