A CARD.
Mr. Editor:—Allow me to say
in behalf of our dearly beloved
pastor and friend, Bro. Moon, who
has been very wrongly abused
There is, nor can Ire found in
any town, country or city, a more
honorable; a more upright man
than this, our devoted pastor.,
whose gentle hands, and tender
voice have comforted many who
have been down-hearted, who have
felt neglected and whose homes
have been blighted. friend indeed,
Bro. Moon is a
not only to the members of his
church, but to every denomination
as well as to the sinners.
He is a citizen to be honored ; a
man to be proud of; a pastor to
be loved and greater than all, a
true, loyal Christian.
What can any mortal say that
will he able to. wound one of
Christ’s true children, or rob such
a man of his character? No
have power t© do this. His bless¬
ed savior bore a great deal from
earthly people, yet what was
reward? So our dear Bro. Moon,
after having bravely stood
proaches, which were and
without foundation, he will in the
end be rewarded for his faithful
labor, for his kindly acts, for his
patience and endurance. What
noble character he is, what a fit
pattern for us! One whose influ¬
ence is ami will ever he only for
good. Were more of us like him
how different would Conyers be!
How many more would be follow¬
ing in the blessed Master’s foot¬
steps! How many more would be
honoring the truth and upholding
I feel sure were I such a good
woman as he is a man my fondest
hopes would be realized.
His sermons are always delight¬
ful and refreshing. He speaks as
speaks a chief of God; as an in¬
spired being, whose beast is filled
with love for his fellowman.
it can be well said
“To know him is to love him.”
lie is not only a friend to the el¬
der people but to every little child,
every young man and young lady
can, at any time, receive a wel¬
come smile, a sympathetic word
and a helping hand.
Are not the people of Conyers
glad to be honored with such a
man as Bro. Moon? I am sure in
the end he will receive the glad
.. well done, thou good and faith¬
ful servant.”
Bro. Moon is our pastor, is my
pastor, my friend, and it is with
very great joy, pleasure and grate
fulness that I aui able to consider
him thus.
How can anyone find any fault,
any charge against such a man ns
this? Who can help loving and
honoring he who is all loVe and
kindness?
Again I repeat with all possible
emphasis, honored, he is a citizen to be
a be man to be proud of, a
pastor to loved and greater than
all, a true, loyal Christian.
