Goebel Dead.
Gov. Gooebel of Kentucky is
dead. The assassin's bullet
did its wotK and left a dark
blot upon the political,record of

friends declare that the cause
he represented and for which
lie died lives and will continue
to live with afi those who be¬

The situation in that state
remains unchanged at this
writing. Governor Taylor

signature to the agreement re¬

parties in conference,
The outcome is yet in doubt
but it is hdp< d that law and or¬
