The circular lndlcailn Just what the.

but It is expected to make Its appearance
very shortly. It Is believe.) that It will
provide for o complete rearrangement, di
viding the systems under n different plan
Iron that under which It |a now operated
Ortaln chumps among the division
superlntendenta and trainmasters arc
also scheduled. What these are, though,
could not be ascertained yester.tey, nor
could It be learned what the divisions of
ihe system will ho under the new plan.
Gen. Bupt. W. B. Denham, and Super
intendent of Transportation W. J. Hay
low were nil out of the city, and there
were no others nt the general officrw tf
the company competent to give out au
thoritative information relative lo chaiute.s
in the operative department.
It Is said that MaJ. Gadsden, superin
tendent of the First Division, the line
between Savannah and Charleston, tvlll
retire, aid that hie position will he Ailed
by Mr. AA'. H. Wright, trainmaster of the
fSeoond Division, with office at AVaycross
Color to the belief that Mr Wright will
receive the iwomotlon that will be open
upon Maj. Gadsden’s retirement Is given
by the belief current among railroad men
:nat the trahimawter. upon returning lo
the Plant System service some lime ogo

was promises) something better as soon
•r an ppenlng develoiied.
Mr F W Kirkland is trainmaster of
the division having Its central office nt
ThomusvUle. The report has It that he
will Ire transferred to Savannah, which
will be headquarters for one of the di
visions under the new plan. This would
be an Innovation, as this city has been
the general headquarter* for the system,
but has not Ireen headquarters for either
of the divisions leading out from It.
It Is said that It has (>e. n recognised for
rome time that an equitable division of
•he work of the o|>eralion of trains on the
Plant System has not existed, and that
u change would be welcomed by some of
ihe trainmasters whose duties have de
manded a great deal more of their time
than have those of other trainmasters
n hose divisions are shorter and h ive few
er trains.
It could not be learned what the new
limits of divisions will be. nor Is It known
whether there will be the same number
of divisions as there are at present. The
system Is now comprised of six divisions.
