in the Superior Court began yesterday.
The uual venire of Jurors, about sixty
strong, was on hand. Three case* were
taken up and disposed of. George Irving,
(hanged with assault with Intent to mur
der by shooting at Collins Joshua, w- is
found guilty of shooting not In his own
defense, lie was sentenced to pay a line
of SIOO atid costs or spends twelve montha
on the chain-gang
John Crawford, who pawned a bicycle
with which he had been entrusted by Mr.
Paul Bryan, was found guilty of larceny
after trust, and was sentenced to two
years in the penitentiary.
Toby Simons, who was charged with
assault with Intent to murder, was found
not guilty.
