The Postolbee floor of the government
building is equipped with a telephone con

the floor to Hie ofilces of the Postmaster
and his assistant. The conduit pursues a
comewhat circuitous route, coming out at
n |>ont on the wall where It t* neatly hid

Company's man arrived at the office he
proceeded t remove the panel covering
the mouth of the conduit Postmaster
Doyle was notified at once by some of the
employe* of the office.
On bring asked hy the rote master what
he was trying to do the man replied that
he Intended o remove the wire from the
conduit Be was Informed that the wire
wus the property of tile Po#tofft-e. The
workman Imlsted that the wire was the

more positive tn h * determination that
the wire should not be moved He dis

Impossible to loy the telephone wire, and
he did not propose to have the conduit

of the wire ns he could get hold of. Ac

that the reason the Bell Company's man
