Fitzgerald on the St. Mary's river, on the southern boundary of the state, is attracting attention, and there will be a rush for the colony as soon as the survey is commenced. Besides the thousands of Northern people who will follow Mr. Fitzgerald to this new Mecca in the South, nearly every little eitv in the state will add its quota to the population. Fitzgerald s remarkable progress and the prosperity and contentment of its people have given an impetus to the colonization movement, and not less than a half dozen smaller colonies have been located in different parts of the state since the founding of Fitz gerald, less than ten years ago.
