Conditions of Sending Estimates in this Port Receipts Contest.
1. Send SI.OO for The Weekly Constitution one year
and with it ONE ESTIMATE in the contest.
2 Send 50c for The Sunny South one vea and with it ONE ESTIMATE in

3. Send $1.25 for The Weekly Constitution and Sunny South both one year and
send TWO ESTIMATES in the contest —that is, one estimate for The Constitution
and another for the Sunny South.
4. Send 50c for ONE ESTIMATE alone in the contest IF YOU DO NOT
WANT A SUBSCRIPTION. Such a remittance merely pays for the privilege of
sending the estimate. If you wish to make a number of estimates on this basis, you
may send THREE ESTIMATES FOR EVERY SI.OO forwarded at the same time
estimates are sent. If as many as ten estimates are received at the same time with
out subscriptions the sender may forward them with only S3.oo—this splendid dis
count being offered for ten estimates in one order. /V postal, card receipt will be sent
for ALL ESTIMATES RECEIVED WITHOUT SUBSCRIPTIONS. Where sub.

KNOWLEDGMENT THAT YOUR ESTIMATE HAS BEEN RECEIVED AND
IS CAREFULLY RECORDED.
5. The money and the subscription and the estimate must come in the same
envelope everv time. The estimate, the money and the subscription go together.
THIS RULE IS POSITIVE.
6. Agents allowed an estimate in this contest on each yearly subscription,
doubled on Sunny South combination orders.
An agent sending estimates only may file as many estimates for himself as he
may secure for his customers.

contest. Mr. Hester is regarded as the official statistician throughout the cotton world.

CONDITIONS OF THE CONTEST.
The condition preeedentfor sending estimates nn
the Total Port Receipts of Cotton Ist of Sep
tum, 1902. to May 1, 1908. both inclusive, is
that each and every entry of estimates must
be ac< ompanied by a year's subscription to The Week
ly Constitution or The Sunnv South, or the remittance
provided for estimates without subscriptions. They
must l>e sent in the Identical envelope that brings the
money that pays for the estimates or the subscription.
You cannot subscribe now and send your estimates af
terwards.
In sending your estimates by nn agent of The
Constitution you make him your agent and not ours.
In forwarding your estimates, both as to the correct
ness of the figures as you intended them and the cer
tainty of the forwarding of them.
Should a. party send in more than cne prize esti
mate, he or she will be entitled to a share of the prize
fund fcr every time that It may represent a. success
ful estimate. Persons may enter the contest as many
times as they send subscriptions, and under tne ruies
the same person may receive a prize with each of the
propositions.
In making your answer just state simply: "I esti
mate the total port receipts Ist of September. 3902..
through May 1, 1903. bales.” Make your figures
plain. We will record them as received every day.
EXACTLY AS THEY LOOK, AND WILL ALLOW
NO CHANGE WHATEVER. If you want to make
estimates later, or If you want to repeat the estimate
you have made, send other subscriptions.
Don't forget every subscription for yourself or
your friends will entitle you to an estimate in the
