Their attractive home was prettily dec
orated with the flowera of Japan, the
purple wisteria blending Into the pink
of handsome chrysanthemums, effect
ive motif that was carried out In detail
from the elaborate decorations to the
confections and tapers. The two charm
ing hostesses and their assistants were
becomingly gowned In kimonos and
like true Japanese maids greeted their
guests with the lowly aalam of the
~>te East. In a cornered recess of the
parlor beneath a great umbrella the
tea table was set, with dainty bedew.

Mrs. and Miss Brown entertained a
dozen guests delightfully Christmas
afternoon. Treasure from the lands

tractive scene, when the pretty girls
had gathered for the merry game.
The young ladles who so successfully
planned to a brilliant finish the mosuim
cotillion of Thanksgiving were Com
plimented by the young men of the
dancing contingent with Yulettdr
german. The skating rink, with dec
orations of Southern snillax nnd bright
Christmas trees, finely waxed Hour,
was converted into a very attractiv*-
dancing hall. To splendid music some !
thirty couples danced until the wen
