than Villing to give us a revival. The
question is, are we willing to receive
it in our hearts and to work with
Him. The three outstanding elements
in praying are, first, the element of
desire, for our Lord said, “what things
soever ye desire, believe that ye may
have them and ye shall have them.

must give up the bank account. The
Master desired the salvation of the
world and He gave His life for it. Do

of God's spirit as will bring our peo
ple to the Christ-like character—if so,
in our converse with God let's he sin
cere. We may play, fake and deceive
among mankind, but not so with God.
The element of self surrender is neces
sary unto effective prayer life and
we cannot pray for others until our
own will and desire js brought into
harmony with God’s plans and pur
poses. In keeping fit for effective serv
ice, God said “if thy right eye of
fend thee, pluck it out; for it is prof
itable for thee that one of thy mem-

their home at Wulker-Pottsville this
week-end where they will spend most
of their vacation.
Mr. Mutt Tribble left Wednesday
for Bostwick, Ga., where he will re

end at Velta, guest of Miss Emma
Boyd Cowan.
Miss Florrie Wallis, talented mu
sician and young daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. J. Mercer Wallis, siient last week
end with friends at College Park.
Mrs. J. M. Hanna silent last week
end at Milledgeville, guest of her sin
dent daughter, Miss Emily Hanna, of
G. S. C. W.
Miss Sue Cowan, teacher in the
Jackson schools, returned to her home
over the week-end, where she will
spend most of the summer months.
Mr. and Mrs. Pintup Wilson, of Fort
Valley, spent the week-end in Conyers,
guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Bowen.
Mrs. J. ,T. McClelland is on an ex
tended visit with her brother and fam
ily, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Owens, of
McDonough.
Mr. and Mrs. James C. Mann spent
last week-end with Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Hull at Magnet.
