The Churches of Christ Salute You." —ROMANS 16:16. ONENESS OF GODS PLAN “There is ONE body, and ONE Spirit, even as ye are called in ONE hope of your calling; ONE Lord, ONE faith, ONE baptism, ONE God, and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Eph. 4:4-6. ONE God. “I am the Lord thy God . .. Thou shalt have no oth¬ er gods before me.” Ex. 20:2, 3. “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” Matt. 22:37. “This is the love of God, that we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.” I John 5:3. ONE Lord. “Therefore let all the house of Israel know as¬ suredly that God hath made same Jesus, whom ye have cru¬ cified, both Lord and Christ.” Acts 2:36. Lord means ruler, master. Jesus said, “All power (authority) is given unto me in heaven and earth.” Matt. 28:18. How much authority, then, has Moses or any mere man or group of me in the realm of pure and undefiled religion today? “God GAVE HIM (Christ) TO BE THE HEAD OVER ALL THINGS TO Gospel of Christ, Post Office Box 15, Trenton, Georgia. The true church has but ONE Head, Christ in heaven—NONE on earth. ONE ^Spirit. Jesus, speaking to His apostles, said, “Howbeit, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.” John 17:17. Therefore, the Spirit would, and did, direct the apostles in setting forth God’s word. How do we appro¬ priate the benefit of the Spirit into our lives? Here is how: “In whom (Christ) ye also trusted, AFTER THAT YE HEARD THE WORD OF TRUTH, THE GOS¬ PEL OF YOUR SALVATION: in whom also AFTER THAT YE BELIEVED, YE WERE SEALED WITH THAT HOLY SPIRIT of promise.” Eph. 1:13. ONE body. “He (Christ) is the head of the body the church . Col.l:18. Since there is ONE body and the church is that body, how many churches are there? Some might say, “All the faiths make up the one church.” The first two words FOR CONGRESS To the People of the l mgressional District Georgia: I respectfully solicit your port in my candidacy for election to Congress, subject the Democratic primary. YOUR LOCAL 1275 MARKET STREET DEALER CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE Housewives Urged To Save Used Fats Dade countians must continue the good work by saving every ounce of used fat this summer and fall, Mr. Roy Moore, County Committeeman, of the Agricul¬ tural Conservation Association, asserted this week in disclosing that “the American people, in the four years of salvage fat col¬ lection have turned in more than 680,000 pounds of grease and tallow.” As a result of the cooperation, Mr. Moore said, soap was in short supply but remained unrationed during the war years. He point- i ed out that soap is still scarce, and that “unless housewives con¬ tinue to save and turn in used fats, they can expect even less soap in the months ahead.” Despite excellent cooperation in salvaging fats, he said, one out of every three women is still throwing away used kitchen fats. “Everyone uses soap,” he said, “so it is to every homemaker’s interest that she save used fats and turn them in.” Meat deal¬ ers, he said, are continuing to pay four cents a pound for used kitchen fats. Mr. Moore pointed out that saving used fats can help the starving millions abroad, since “the more we save, the more new edible fats we can release for shipment to those unfortunate people overseas.” Reduction Made In S.
