How can I get a certificate
eligibility for a GI loan?
a veteran make larger
on his loan than his regular
stallments when he is able?
Here are the answers to
of the questions frequently
ed the Veterans Administration:
If I take a part-time job,
the Veterans Administration
the amount of subsistence I
ceive while in school under
GI Bill?
No As long as your subsist¬
ence allowance and your
together do not equal more than
$200 a month, or $175 a month if
you are without dependents
Your subsistence allowance may
be reduced as much as necessa¬
ry to meet this limitation.
Does the fact that I receive
other income have any bearing
on the amount of compensation
I get as a veteran with a serv¬
ice-connected disability?
No.
I have been receiving unem¬
ployment allowance. Will this
bar me from taking an educa¬
tional course or on-the-job
training and receiving subsist¬
ence at some future date?
No. Receipt of readjustment
allowance does not take any of
the benefits provided by the GI
Bill away from you. However, a
veteran cannot receive subsist¬
ence and readjustment allow¬
ance at the same time.
I am an honorably discharged
veteran. How can I get a cer¬
tificate of eligibility for a GI
loan?
An honorable discharge is con¬
sidered a certificate of eligi¬
bility.
Mav I make larger payments
on my GI loan than my regular
installments when I am able?
Yes. You have the right to
repay at any time without pre¬
mium or fee the entire indebt¬
edness or any part of your loan.
