CHILDREN AT THE FAIR
Many of us enjoyed ou- c.-.unty
fair but many of us could have
enjoyed it more if, as we walked
along the aisles, we could have
seen ribbons to show' us who had
won first, second and third
place.
Why didn.t we see those rib-
Lons. Because they were being
plucked eff the c.iinbils
than the fair officials could keep
them on and were to be seen
being worn by children.
Also during the day the cakes
on exhibition had their
coverings torn off and the cakes
showed evidence of being nibbled
on.. .The candy likewise, had the
paper covering torn off and on
some plates it entirely disappear¬
ed. Even the plates of bread ex¬
hibits showed signs of
tampered with
Most of us came to the fair to
see what was exhibited and
won; not to have to ask around
who won this class and to go by
empty plates and to see cakes

children should go and see
County Fair but if they are going
to spoil the pleasure of others
removing ribbons and eating the
exhibits they should not be al¬
lowed in without their parents
to watch over them and make
them behave.
The fair official canrmi, b
everywhere at once, nor do
want to have to call in “the
to take care of this in the
but the Fair is everyone’s
sure and not a p’am ’’
children to se° how much the
can do to spoil it.
