THE DADE COUNTV TIMES, TRENTON, GEORGIA, THURSDAY, MARCH 10, 1949. RED’S DRY CLEANERS TRENTON, GEORGIA Cleaning;—Pressing;—Hats Cleaned and Blocked Growing children are Dade County’s greatest nrtural resources. Let’s make them better citizens by following the Home Improve¬ ment and Community Improvement Development Program. City folks used to think farm life was a lonely life. Today, automobiles, telephones, and — above all — electricity, have nearly ended loneliness on the farm. Electricity turns dark into day, pumps water, milks cows, grinds feed — does dozens of other chores — brings entertainment and market reports. Electric ranges, electric water heaters, refrigerators, washing machines and a host of other appliances bring greater comfort and convenience to the farm home. Here in Dade County, the Georgia Power Com¬ pany has made very great progress in bringing electric¬ ity to the farm. The first electric lines in Dade County were brought in by the Georgia Power Company in 1930. Trenton, Wildwood and Rising Fawn all began receiving service in that year. Since that time, Georgia Power Company lines have been stretching further and further out among Dade County’s farms. We will be spending large sums of money continuing to extend our service in Dade County this year. All of this expansion is of direct importance to you and every other citizen in this area. For your electric servant can bring greater comfort, convenience and prosperity to the people it serves.
