the court on Wednesday even-

interested in cases in court un¬

the court again met and went
into business, as though fully

while alluding to the court, we
cannot fail to compliment' the

we understand the grand jury
recommended the levy of a tax
of $3,500 for county purposes. It
being the opinion of that body
| that, it would require at least that
amount to defray the expense of
Ihe county for the present year,
and pay off the outstanding in-
debetedness. We think this
action of the grand jury right,
and should be endorsed by all
the tax payers in the comity.

Buck Howell and I were in Bale-

diner where some friends were sit¬

to sell hogs now or wait.
Buck plunges right into the dis¬

suddenly they all stand up and
start stomping their feet like it
was an Indian war dance.
I'm flabbergasted. But Buck
only looked sheepish and explains,
