Mrs. Bert Helms, District Pres¬
ident of the Woman’s Society of
Christian Service came out from
Chattanooga and helped organ¬
ize a W. S. C. S. at the New Salem
Church last week. A large num¬
ber of ladies showed interest by
coming out.
The following officers were
elected: Mrs. Cecil McKaig, Pres-
ident Mrs. T. H. Moore, Vice
President; Mrs. Grady Bradford.
Secretary; Mrs. L. C. Haygood,
Treasurer; Mrs. M. E. Bradford,
Secy., of Christian Social Rela¬
tions and Local Church Activ¬
ities; Mrs. Carl Baker, Mission
Study Leader; Mrs. Ross Autry,
Secy., of Literature; Mrs. L. J.
Neal, Sr., Secy., of Supplies: Mrs.
M. G. Bradford, was given books
on Spiritual Life to read and
report to meetings. I'm sure she
will do a good job on this.
Mrs. Helms explained the du-
ties of each one ; every one really
having a job.
It was decided to meet on the
first Monday night of each
month. The next meeting to be
at the home of Mrs. L. C. Hay-
good. Mrs. T. H. Moore in charge
of the program.
We are expecting to do great
things through our organization.
