Rising Fawn
Threatens Teacher
The Rising Fawn School is in danger of losing one of its
chers unless something is done about its student attendance,
Moore, Dade School Superintendent, said today. Moore said
decreases in the average daily attendance at the Rising
School have imperiled its chances of retaining its eight
next year.
He added that there was no danger of the school losing
t eac h er tTiis year, despite the re-
rumor s to that effect. He
-aid the school h ool will will onerat operate eon on its its
present schedule for the remain-
er o e year u some
changes may be made next
unless the situation improves.
| Moore said cards have
I ! mailed out to all parents
for their aid in fighting the
ing attendance and the P-TA
i been called on for action.
Rising Fawn school now
an average daily attendance
less than 200, Moore said,
I has a full teaching staff of
eight. He cited other county
schools who have many more
students and less or the same
number of teachers
He said other county schools
are in no danger of losing teach¬
ers due to falling attendance,
but all are faced with an acute
teacher shortage.
