Bradford and Mrs. Willard Daniel have gone to visit their daughter and mo¬ ther, Mrs. Jack Neal in Pear¬ land, Texas. We are sorry to hear about Mrs. John Ploat being back in the hospital. Hope for her a speedy recovery. She will be re¬ membered as Nellie McKaig. Mrs. Olan King spent last week with her mother, Mrs. Leon Moore. We are sorry that Mrs. W. D. Bradford is on the sick list again. Hope she gets well soon. Mrs. R. W. Collins is spending a few days in Chattanooga with her daughter, Mrs. Romie Whit¬ taker. Mr. and Mrs. Grady McKaig spent the week end in Chatta¬ nooga visiting their sisters, Mrs. Marvin Hicks and Mrs. John Ploat. We sure are glad that Aunt Lula Bradford is improving af¬ ter being sick so long. Mrs. Carl Baker spent last Thursday with Mrs. D. I. Jen¬ kins and Mrs. R. W. Collins. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Free spent last Saturday with her sister, Mrs. Lewis McKaig. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Lenard Gray spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Edson Gray and family. We see that Mr. Troy Martin is driving a new Chevrolet truck. The weather sure has been beautiful. It makes us think it’s time to go gardening, but I don’t think the bad weather is finished yet so we had better wait awhile longer. We are making a start on our new Church ground. We sure hope to get more than the ground started so everyone come on out and do what you can. Everybody come on out Sa¬ turday night to the big Chick- ien Supper at the School. The 'proceeds go to building the new J j Baptist Church. We sure are sorry about Mr. , j and Mrs. Bill Selvey getting their house and all their things (burned up. If anybody has any¬ thing to give them, they sure would appreciate it. Even their cloths were all lost. We are sorry that so many of our children are out of school on account of measles. Hope they will soon settle down so the children can get back in school. In visiting Mrs. Art Moore’s home last week we saw some beautiful chickens. I think they should invite us for dinner some time. In visiting around we see that the neighbos are doing some improving so we want every¬ body to do all they can for the cemetery.
