T lo TL 1 ii6 fcditor rj‘. and J All Ill! Citizens of Dade Co. Greetings: We are reminded of our wonder fu , ccuntry and j for one u with all they have said about it. W(? have rich land and we don’t have our homes flooded as has been the case out in the •West. Our mountains give torna-! us! comparative safety from does. We also have some very fine people in our county. I am sure that most of us want it to be a county well- thought of wherever it is known. It is up to everyone of us to make a favorable impres¬ sion on outside people we come in contact with, and there is no one in the whole county who can have more effect on our re¬ putation than the peace offi¬ cers. Highway No. 11 runs through the county from one end to the other, and most any day you can see cars with tags from New York, California and most every other state in between. It is the duty of all of us, in¬ cluding our peace officers, to help them in any way that they would like to be helped. It is the duty of our officers to en¬ force the law and I am with them on that. They can do that in a way that can give the county a black eye. Let’s take a case like this: suppose a man who had AN£U MAIL YOUR REPORT OF PROGRESS BY OCTOBER 22nd. The law him in, leaving his wife two babes stranded on the with a three-wheeled car. threatened to throw him in if he made any kind of move care for his family. This where the “black eye” for county is given. Let's not have such things happen in our grand The afore-mentioned that ha PP ened here has been good for the g °° d ° f county.
