FOR SUPERINTENDENT OF
DADE COUNTY SCHOOLS
Every four years all School
Systems in the State of Geor-
gia elect or re-elect a Super-
intendent of Education. Dade
County is not an exception.
You a"e confronted at the pre-

of one of two men. You have
the record of eaoh of us, my
opponents for eight years,
mine at present, three years,
and three months. You as
Voters shall be the judges of
records. Each of our re-
cords has been hampered by
insufficient funds — funds are
necessary to make the needed
progress that our children de-
served, since children are the
primary purpose of a School
System.
Tbrough the cooperation of
you and the Board of Educa-
tion during my administration
we have improved buildings,
heating, transportation, seat¬
ing, more text books and sup¬
plied an improved teaching
staff. Again I say we are not
with the progress, we
should not be content until we
have one of the best systems
possible for every child in
Dade County.
Let us ask ourselves, ‘-Are we
satisfied with those records?”
my answer is no! so is yours.
No is also he answer of the
State of Georgia as the whole
State enters into the greatest
Educational Program - in the
south with teachers, salaries
increased, and a Building Pro¬
gram now being undertaken by
the State of Georgia. We shall
have an opportunity to pro¬
gress Educationally as never
before if we meet the challenge
as we should.
I have accepted every oppor¬
tunity to keep your Board of
Education and myself inform¬
ed of the means that were
made available for the Dade
County School System; I shall
continue to do so until my
term expires, and thereafter, if
