OUR OPINION
It is too bad when politics
stand in the way of justice. It
has always been our belief
that the duties of the grand
jury were to help administer
justice and not to help play
politics. It is one of our free¬
doms to get rip-roaring mad
when we read about corrupt
charges made against any of
our public officials. What are
we doing about it?
Some time ago we read in
The Dade County Times that
the jury boxes had been re¬
vised. Judging from some of
the mistakes the grand jury j
has made lately, we think it )
would help matters if they I
were revised again. i
It is time all voters make it j
their business to be alert and j
correctly informed as to what
is happening in our county.
Please do not let corrupt poli¬
tics stand in the way of sound
principles.
It is our American heritage
to vote as we please and by
doing so we put into action our
freedom. Therefore, we should
not allow ourselves to be dict¬
ated to vote a certain way or
to be blindly led to vote a cer¬
tain way. What kind of herit¬
age are we handing down for
our children and others to fol¬
low?
We hope that you will give
these few thoughts your care¬
ful study.
Signed,
Mrs. W. J. Sells.
