at Glasgow, Ky. They will be
home Friday night.
Mrs. Elizabeth Townsend has
come home after spending
three weeks with the J. M. C.
Townsends in Atlanta.
Friday night is the big night
for some of the small fry
around here. Caroline Ford,
Mary Lynn Street and Diane
Fugatt will be dancing in the
Tip-Tap-Toe Revue at the Lit-
tie Theatre of the Memorial
Auditorium,
The John Fehlandts have
gone to Virginia Beach for two
cr three weeks. When they
come back Doretta will leave to
spend the summer at Camp
Elaabee, N. C.
Last Saturday night I had
company believe it or not. Ar¬
tis and Cecil Ford, Bus and
Hazel Fugatt and Bea and Jack
Ford had supper with Raymond
and I. After supper we played
rook and, I might add, I am
not the champ.
Diane Fugatt spent Saturday
night with her little cousin,
Wanda Waddell.
Boats and Bud Lawson and
Herb Porter went up to Fonta-
nea this week to do a little fish¬
ing. Bet they come back with
some of the Hoo-dooingest
fish tales.
The Grant Wilburns are stay
ing over at Cooley’s since Mrs.
Cooley is gadding around.
Janet Cross Hixson is able to
be out after a recent illness.
Mrs. W. F. Brock has re¬
turned from a visit with rela¬
tives in Virginia.

spending a few weeks with her
sister, Mrs. Ed. Riddles in
Tullahoma.
Mrs. H. J. Barton spent
three days with her sister Mrs.
Dolph King in Trenton last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Oliver and
Mr. and Mrs. Doe Ellis of
Chattanooga, were Sunday vi¬
siters of Mr. and Mrs. John
Oliver and family.
Mrs. Shelly Summerford en¬
tertained with a Stanley Dem¬
onstration at her home June 3.
Norma Oliver spent Saturday
night with a friend Eunla Lee
Jones in Flat Rock, Ala.
Mr. and Mrs. Gene West
were Sunday guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Luther West.
Mrs. Woodrow Wooten who
remains ill, has been removed
to the home of her husband’s
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Frank Wooten.

along with her daughter, Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Bennett
and children of Venson, Arizo¬
na, have returned home after a
week’s visit here with relatives
and friends. Mrs. Bennett is
the former Miss Georgia May
Patterson.
Mrs. Grace Patterson visited
her mother in Bosco, Ky., for
a few days last week.
Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Moore,
Mrs. Lawrence Dugan and Mr.
J. L. Moore, of Chickamauga,
are visiting relatives in Texas
and New Mexico. They are ex¬
pected back sometime this
week.
Helen (Moore) Purcell of
Barnwell, S. C., spent last
week here with her family, the
Edgar Moores.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smith
and little son, LaVerne, and
Mrs. Bonnie Bonine of Chat¬
tanooga were the Sunday
guests of the Moore’s also.
Mrs. Orl Waddell and son
Wayne have returned after a
visit with Mrs. Waddell’s Mster
in Delaware.
Mr. Frank Patterson is back
in bed again. I think the doc¬
tor allows him to sit up one
hour a day.
The Frank K. Patterson’s
baby is home again after a
week at the children’s hospital.
Hope they both get straighten¬
ed out real soon.
Mrs. Willie Hughes and Miss
Elba Cole are very busy this
week getting ready for summer
schod. They have enrolled at
Peabody at Nashvlle, I believe.
Our Vacation Bible School is
now in session with a good at-
tendance and a very good
study course.

ADULTS HAVE PARTY
The young adults of the Ris¬
ing Fawn Methodist Church
enjoyed a party Monday night
in the Rising Fawn community
park. Games were played and
refreshments served.
