Carson, Sat¬ urday afternoon. Mr. Joe E. Baker, of Rising Fawn, was visiting in our com¬ munity last week. Mr. Haston Hibbs was called to Jasper, Tenn., Thursday night due to_ the death of his brother-in-law, Frank Parker. Mrs. Roy Wallin and chil¬ dren were the Monday guests of Mrs. Tom Holder and son James. Mrs. Wesley Forester was the Wednesday visitor of Mrs. Canova Guinn. First Good Snow Falls Over Weekend Lookout Mountain residents reported a five-inch snow early Sunday morning, while the valley received a thinner coating of the white flakes. Due to the wet ground and atmosphere, the snow soon melted in the valley, but net before many real, honest-to- goodness snow men had been made, to the delight of the younger generation.
