New chairmen are: Mrs. Jules Case, enter¬ tainment: Mrs. Ed Pace, flow¬ er show; plant exchange, Mrs. Rufus Blake; Mrs. W F. Morrison, conservation and roadside improvement; Mrs. Roy McBryar, club poet; Mrs J G Nethery. member- The new officers of the Mesdames Tatum, president, E. Pace, vice-president; H. F. secretary and W C. Cureton, treasurer, were in¬ stalled during the afternoon by Mrs. E. G. W'right, Sr. In the monthly flower show, which was conducted by Mes¬ dames E S. Pace Jules Case and E G Wright, Sr., the fol- ' swing D riles took honors: Mrs W C Cureton, first with a mixed table arangement and Mrs. H F Allison, second with an arrangement of forsy- thia and King Alfred daffodils. Mrs J F Irby also took se¬ cond with a hall tabic arrange¬ ment of mixed flowers. Mrs. W G. Morrison, Sr. took a first with pussy willows. In the horticultuie section, Mrs A L Dyer was first with King Alfred daffodils and se¬ cond with an African Violet, while Mrs M J. Hale won se¬ cond place with a hyacinth bloom. A movie, “The Keystone Idea," was shown to the group to illustrate the value of a hometown newspaper. During the social hour, Mrs. W G Morrison, Sr., poured tea to 22 guests The tea table was beautifully appointed with an arrangement of fruit blossoms centered on a Venetian point cloth. Several lovely flow¬ er arrangements of fruit blos¬ soms, greens and silver berries made by Mrs. Morrison, Sr., were placed throughout the house.
