The Council Meeting will get underway Monday, August 3, with registration and prelim¬ inary organizational sessions. The event will be officially opened when Dr. Henry K Stanford, President of GSCW, welcomes the 4-H’ers at 9:00 A. M. The program at Milledgeville will aLso feature the election of 1954 State 4-H Council officers. BELK’S barn, HAY BURNS SUNDAY barn on the farm of F. N. Belk burned Sunday night with fire destroying several hundred bales of hay which were stored in the barn. Cause of the blaze was not explained, but smoke and the reflection of the fire on clouds above the farm could be seen for many miles in all directions.
