underwent an appendectomy at
the Tri-County Hospital Mon¬
day afternc n. She is reported
recovering nicely.
Mrs. Catherine Morrison was
ir Atlanta the first of the week
and we were glad to have Mrs
Myrna McMahan back in the
newspaper office while Mrs
Morrison was gone
Mr and Mrs. Morris Lichten
and Miss Mary Catherine Mor-
lison and a friend from Chat¬
tanooga were Sunday guests of
Mrs. W G. McrrLson. Sr. and
family.
The Dade Theater will be
closed during the winter sea¬
son with the exception cf Sat¬
urday. Sunday and Monday
nights, it was announced this
week.
Mr and Mrs Austin Mullins
of Trenton announce the birth
of a son, Edward LeBron, on
December 5 at the Trentcn Cli¬
nic. He weighed 8 V 2 pounds at
birth. Mrs. Mullins is the form¬
er Nellie Jenkins.
Mr. and Mis. E F. Flury
have returned from Tacoma,
Washington, where he has been
stationed and are visiting Mrs.
Flury’s parents, Mr. arid Mrs.
O. F. Greene. Mr. Flury has
been discharged from the serv¬
ice
in Dunlap, Tenn., last week.
Mr and Mrs. A L. Dyer
have beth their mothers stay¬
ing with them new. Mrs. W. C.
Dyer, Sr. from Birmingham is
visiting there, and M:s. W. F’.
Thomas has returned to Tren¬
ton after a three-months’ visit
with her son at Dawson, Ga.
Mrs. H. E Gross will be "Hos¬
tess to the Trenton Garden
Club for the annua, Christmas
party on December 18 at her
