Times Essay Contest RULES OF THE CONTEST 1. Open to all readers of The Dade County Times. 2 . Topic fcr the month-^which appears in the paper—to be enclosed with each entry. Winning es^ay or article will be published and winner will receive $5.00 cash or three free subscrptions to the paper. Your name and address muM be signed to your entry but will be withheld upon request. Essay must not be over 500 words long; must be neat; typed or written in ink. No employee of The Dade County Times will be eligible for a prize. 7. No essays will be returned and the staff of The Dade County Times reserves the right to edit all copy. 8 . Entries must be received on or before the last day of the month as each month’s contest closes on the last day of the month. Alfalfa should not be grazed o r cut fcr hay within 30 days after treatment. As for grazing, it is recom- for hay is when plants are from one-fourth to one-half in bloom and when shoots begin to ap¬ pear at the base cf the plants. As for grazing,, it is recom¬ mended that jilfalfa be allowed to g r o w about to maturity. Then, enough animals should be turned in to graze it down in two to three weeks.
