Wilson Among the sick in the com¬ munity are: Mr. Bob Dawkins, who is slowly improving; Mr. Will Smith, who has been moved to the home of the Ralph Smiths in Chattanooga to await an operation the last of this week; Mr. Donnie Me Mahan, who is recuperating from an attack of nerves; Dr. Middleton, who is reported to be getting along fine; and Mrs. C. B. Simmons, who was brought home from Tri-County a few days ago. Bill West was brought home from a Chattanooga hospital the past weekend where he was taken recently with virus pneu¬ monia. Mrs. Verna West, who collapsed in the hospital dur¬ ing a visit with him last week, remains very ill. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whit¬ field are announcing the birth of a nine-pound boy, Jerry Glenn. The Harold Castleberrys have bought the Rutherford home and moved this week. Mr. and Mrs. I. B. Holloway of Chattanooga were the Sun¬ day guests of the M. R. Wil¬ sons. Mr. and Mrs. John B. Harri¬ son and family went to Cen¬ ter, Ala., Sunday for a visit with Billy Grace, former room¬ mate, of Sammy’s at Berry. The Bill Austins visited Mar¬ tha and Glenn Smith and chil¬ dren in Marietta last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Me Mahan and daughter Pamela left Thursday for Long Beach, California, to make their home Mr. and Mrs. Jakie Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Jerii Cooper, Jr. attended the Alabama-Van- derbilt football game in Nash ville, Tenn., Saturday night. Then on Sunday, Marie and Jakie and children were the guests of friends in Clarksville, Tenn., where they purchased a pair of beagle hounds _____________ AIRS. ADA SIMPSON, FORMER RESIDENT, DIES Mrs. Ada Simpson, who made her home in Trenton for many years before moving to Temple, Ga., died Saturday, Oct. 1 fol¬ lowing a short illness. Mrs. Simpson had suffered a broken hip which brought on pneumon¬ ia, the cause o f her decease. She was 83 years old. Upon her marriage to Wil¬ liam Simpson in 1905, she moved from Rockdale to Trenton, where she lived until 1945. Mrs. Simpson was telephone operat¬ or here for some time. Her hus¬ band passed away in 1933. She was a member of the Nazarene Church. Survivors are two brothers, B. F. Talley of Temple and John Talley o f Waller, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
