CURETON HOME
SCENE OF PARTY
The lovely home of Mr.
Mrs. W. C. Cureton in Byrd’s
Chapel was the scene o f the
Garden Club’s annual Christ¬
mas party Friday night, Dec. 16.
About twenty-five members and
guests were present.
Assisting Mrs. Cureton in en¬
tertaining were other members
| of the club entertainment com-
! mittee: Mesdames R. L. Hilten,

Asa L. McMahan, Miss Naomi
Hubble and Mrs. E. S. Pace,
president. Many attractive hol¬
iday decorations had been ar¬
ranged throughout the house by
the hostess, and the dining room
, table was particularly lovely
with a centerpiece of red can¬
dles on red and silver magnolia
leaves. A beautiful Christmas
tree cake, frosted in white and
decorated with red cinnamon
candles and silver dragees oc¬
cupied a place of honor at one,
end of the table, balanced on
the other by a crystal punch
bowl.
To begin the fun, Mrs. Mc¬
Mahan read a humorous news
story of the party, with the
guests filling in the adjectives,
after which everyone separated
into four groups for a song pan-
tomine directed by Miss Hubble.

Mrs. Cleron Kyzer and Mes¬

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nethery

When Santa arrived in the per¬

the first lines of songs which
had been pinned to each gift.
The guests had drawn the sec¬

the lines, they received their
gifts.
