D. Pike siding. Mrs. Mary Talley conducted a short program of songs and readings. The business meeting was concerned with the setting up of goals for the year as fol¬ lows : (1) Increase membership; (2> Establish community recrea¬ tion; (3) Participate in school activities; (4) To include more families in club picnics; (5) Send at least 2 members to each council meeting; (6) Donations to Red Cross; <7i Participate in Dress Revue; (8) To have booth at County Fair; <9> To entertain the county council February 22; (10 To serve Lions Club to raise funds; (111 To aid 4-H Club members in commun¬ ity; (12) To enter Club of the Year Contest. A part of one goal was carried out Saturday night. February 18 when fourteen boxes and cakes were carried to the school for the box supper by club mem¬ bers and their children. Hatfield, noted Rising Fawn lesident, were held Tuesday morning from the Rising Fawn Baptist Church, where he was an active member. Revs. T. C Nelson, Kermit Culbert and Taylor Castleberry officiated. M.\ Hatfield died Sunday morning in a Chattanooga ho> pital where he had been rushed the night before. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrh¬ age. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Hatfield; five daughters, Mrs. Lucille P r i c e, Woodbury, N. J.; Mrs. Sarah Del- zell. Miss Hubble urged us to at¬ tend the Dress Revue on April 17 and the Cooking School on April 26. These county - wide meetings are very interesting and I hope we have a good come out from Byrd’s Chapel. Miss Hubble’s demonstration on child development was very inspiring.
