Cureton HI, are the parents o f a boy, weighing 6 lb. 12 oz. born March 17, in a Murfreesboro, Tenn. hospital. Mr. Jack Ford, of New Eng¬ land, who suffered a stroke last week, is seriously ill in a Chat¬ tanooga hospital. Misses Louise Bates, Carolyn Reeves and Carl ene Git ford traveled to Mt. Sterling, Ky. Mr. and Mrs. Travis Montjoy visit his mother, last weekend. A new sign spelling in neon letters has been placed on the corner of Haddens macy. Mother and baiby are doing fine. Jimmy Stallings, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Stallings of New Home, who is in the Air Force overseas, has been promoted to sergeant. His sister, Shirley, has finished her second year at Sneed College in Boaz, Ala. She plans to take additional studies to become a teacher.
