Among the old residents Rising Fawn who attended Fricks-Davis wedding were, Mrs. Maude Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wiggs, son, Mr. and Mrs. Cook (Elizabeth Wiggs) son, Mrs. Thelma Brown, Chattanooga, Mr. and Mrs. Brown (Thelma Dean) of Payne, Mr. and Mrs. Person, Mr. and Mrs. Jim also of Chattanooga. Jack McMahan has wearing an eye bandaged two weeks. Last week he the right eye operated on this week the left eye has operated on. He had a gium removal of both eyes. Mr. Chas. Sizemore of ingham has been visiting Charlie McMahan’s, also mas McMahan in St. Elmo. SMYTH - HOLDER TO WED Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Smyth Wildwood announce the ment of their daughter dine Elaine, to James Holder, son of Mr. and Thomas L. Holder of Fawn. Miss Smyth is a graduate Dade County High School Young Harris Jr. College, Harris, Georgia. She also tended the Atlanta Division the University of Georgia. Miss Smyth is the sister of Charles E. Smyth, Trenton, and Lavoy Smyth, of Wildood. She is presently employed with the Railway Express Agency, Chat¬ tanooga, and is a member of the Trenton Church of Christ, Mr. Holder is a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, having served four years with the U. s. Marine Corps. He completed his formal high school training while in service and after receiving his discharge, completed four years agricultural institutional on-the farm training, using University of Georgia techniques. Mr. Hold¬ er is the brother of Mrs. Leon Castleberry of Rising Fawn and Messrs. Charles and Myrl Hold¬ er bf Hollywood, Florida. He is connected with the Interstate Life and Accident Insurance Company as Agent, and is also a member of the Trenton Church of Christ. The marriage wiil be solem¬ nized on July 14 <at the home of the officiating minister, Mr. Joe Matthew. OBITUARY Mrs. Annie Broome Mrs. Annie Broome, 76, died May 29 at her home in Tren¬ ton. She is survived by a sis¬ ter, Mrs. Fannie Oliver* Rt. 1, Wldwood; a brither Tom Tay¬ lor of Trenton and several nieces and nephew's. Funeral services were held from the Trenton Baptist Church with interment in the Whitt Ceme¬ tery.
