OBITUARY
JACK PRYOR
DIES SUDDENLY
Jack Pryor died suddenly at
his home in Piney on Monday
evening July 16. He had been
mowing his lawn when he was
stricken with a heart attack.
The doctor came immediately
and an ambulance was called
but he died before reaching a
hospital. He was 53. *
He is survived by his wife
Mrs. Ruth Hatfield Pryor, who
just the day before had return¬
ed from the hospital where she
was treated for a heart attack,
two daughters, Mrs. James M.
Case, Trenton, and Mrs. W. D.
Kervin, Chattanooga; a son,
Charles V. Pryor, Trenton;
three sisters, Mrs Fred Games,
Chattanooga; Mrs. Horace Re¬
eves and Mrs. Eva Goss, both
of Trenton; two brothers, Ro¬
bert and Charles Pryor, both of
Chattanooga and eight grand¬
children.
Funerai services were held at
Piney Grove Baptist Church,
with Revs. J. A. Hickey, Van
Crawford, Pearl Tinker and
Jessie Mitchell conducting.
Active pallbearers were
Woodrow Tinker, Luke Sulli¬
van, Francis Baker, Luther
Gaddis, Fred Mahan and Ray¬
mond Morrison. Honorary pal¬
lbearers were Luke Haynes,
George Massey, George Fulg-
hum, Buddy Cox, T. D» Thur-
W. G. Morrison, Jr., and
Dr. N. H. Hutchison.

Summerville, Ga. were visiting
at the New Home Church Sun¬
day. Mr. Reed brought the mes¬

Larry Dodson is visiting his
grandparents the J. W. Craw¬
fords at Cloudland Canyon on
Lookout Mountain. The Craw¬
fords Sunday gusts were Mr.
and Jack Crisp and Mrs. and
Mrs. E\ A. Stallings.
Mrs Floyd Hurst has had her
two grandsons for two weeks
visit. They returned home to
Atlanta, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Ivy are
on vacation in New Jersey.
We are sorry to hear of the
death of Mrs. Jack Ivy’s uncle
and aunt. Mrs Eunice Harmon
has been sick. We hope she is
better. We are sorry to hear
Harold Prince has had to re¬
turn to the hospital. Mrs
Charles Morgan is recuperat¬
ing from her operation at the
home of her mother Mrs. Kirk
Ellisan.
Jace Williams, from the Mar¬
ine Corps, is visiting his sister,
Mrs Jack Crisp abd his brother
L. C. Williams. Mrs. Ed Skillen,
from Nevada, is visiting her
parents the Kirk Ellisons. Mrs.
Wilma Garner, from, Alabama,
is visiting her brother Marion
