THE DADE COUNTY TIMES, TRENTON, GEORGIA, THURSDAY OCTOBER 25, 1956 Rising Fawn (Intended for last week) Miss Patsy McNair of Oak Ridge has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smith. Mrs. Glenn Smith and child¬ ren of Marietta, Ga. spent last week with her sister, Mrs. Jeril Cooper, Jr., and Mir. Cooper at their new home in south Rising Fawn. Mr. and Mrs. John Hale and Children of Hixson, Tenn. were the weekend guests of relatives. Mrs. Myrtle Guidi is the guest of her brother, c. R. Thomas, and Mrs. Thomas. The Mickey Bobos are the extremely proud parents of an eight and a half pound boy, born Oct. 12 at a Ft. Payne hospital. He has been named Joseph Allen. The Rising Fawn Home Dem¬ onstration Club met Oct. 8 with Mrs. Henry Kenimer.The four¬ teen members present were most enthusiastic over the Christ¬ mas gift ideas she presented The Rev. R. D. McGee of Chat¬ tanooga assisted Rev. Jimmjy Ball with the Annual Methodist Visitation Week here. It was an outstanding success, although the opening and closing meet¬ ings held at Byrd’s Chapel were poorly attended. Rev. McGee is the director of the Wesley Foundation. Rev. Taylor Castleberry^, pas¬ tor of the Rising Fawn Baptist Church, has ibeen holding re¬ vival meetings at the Trenton Baptist Church. The Golden Age Group met at the Methodist Church Tues¬ day in the Youth Adult Class¬ room for a spend-the-day meet¬ ing. After the devotional, they carried their besket lunches to the Sam Woodins where they ate with the family, Mrs. Woodin being unable to walk. ROUTE 2 NEWS by Mrs. Fred Cooper (Intended for last week) • Mrs. Mary Whetzell left Sat¬ urday for a vacation in Florida. While there, she will visit her mother, who is in the hospital. We hear Mrs. Lucile Gass is in the hospital. We hope she'll soon be well. Rev. Henry Williams had Mack Hill and family as Sunday guests. The C. W. Albertsons went visiting Sunday someplace. Estel Tinker is doing some more work on his house. Gene Gregory is here visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Reynolds, on Star Route. He has a 10 day leave. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Henegar have gone to Florida. Mrs. Hen¬ egar was Miss Aleene Green be¬ fore her marriage. We hear Otto Cooper was able to return home Monday from the hospital. Webb Tinker and Carl Atch- ley visited John Tinker awhile Sunday evening. The Bible Study will be held at Bertha Patton’s Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Jin Reeves spent Sunday with their son Asa and family in Chattanooga. Mr. Lee Howard has been on the sick list. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Holder visited their daughter, Mrs. Leon Castleberry and family Sunday.
